Recommended utensil: Chakoshi (Tea Strainer)
No matter what you do, dry matcha powder left on its own will naturally tend to stick to itself and ball up into little clumps, which are hard to break up when preparing matcha normally. One simple solution: measure your matcha into a dry tea strainer and scrape the powder through it, directly into your bowl. Then, proceed to whisk as normal. No more clumps, and the smoothest matcha possible.
